Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year! I love the colors, the decor, the food and the presents. (I just hate the shopping!) When we moved in to our current apartment I wanted red furniture just because it's traditional Christmas colors. (Yes, I think about Christmas all year long!) First, I had to convince Kenny red is a great color all year long:
Red with Green accents during the holidays
Red with Brown accents during the winter months
Red with yellow or orange accents during the spring/summer months
Red just with just about anything!
So naturally when it comes to decorating for Christmas our main color is RED! The accent color is silver, with of course greens, and my decorating takes off from there. I don't do too much because I don't want to over do in an apartment plus I don't want Ray to ruin anything. (And I hate the clean-up.)
Our Christmas decor consists of a well decked out tree (fake, green and pre-light), a red and silver wreath made out of metal with bells, and various jungle bells hung on doors in the house. Whenever a door is opened, a bell goes off. You gotta love it!!!
Here is the finished product of the tree.
I placed some gift boxed ornaments under the tree for the illusion of gift giving. (Sorry but we are not going broke this year!) There are also some framed verses; keeping up with the true meaning of Christmas!
And most importantly, you have to have a holiday outfit!
Red, Black and White were the colors of the night!
P.S. - Of course Kenny didn't want to participate in wearing coordinating outfits. He thinks ray and I are geeks!

You guys aren't geeks - that's really cute!!! We haven't decorated yet - I'm trying not to kill it for the kids, but it's hard. Jamil didn't have many memorable Christmas' earlier on in his life and it kind of spilled over into his adult years. But good for you for keeping with the tradition.
You MUST decorate. Do it for the kids and give Jamil some memorable experiences as an adult! It's so fun!
