Since we were in Harrisburg for the wedding, i decided to turn it into a weekend excursion. Ray was with my mom for the weekend and it felt great to take advantage of not having a little one around. We stayed in a hotel - a cheap one with HARD beds! Neither of us got any sleep all night. Sunday morning we had a huge breakfast at Bob Evans and headed to Hershey Park. Everything in Harrisburg is about 15 minutes away so traveling from place to place was not a problem.
I was very excited because I've never been to Hershey Park and mainly was happy it was just us two! Finally, in what seems like forever, we were able to relax and not parent someone, check diapers or feed a crying baby. It was as if we were teenagers all over again!
Anyhoo! We arrived and took a tram car to the actual park from the lot and took a tour of the Hershey Factory.
There, cows serenaded us with a song describing how chocolate is made. 
Afterward, we went into the park. There were many rides, lots of walking and good food. Once again, I was able to find discount admission tickets- PRAISE THE LORD- (from Giant) and a discounted lunch ticket which included a souvenir cup. I LOVE DISCOUNTS!!
We went to a few shows...
rode a few rides (some put us overtop all the action)
We stopped at a ornament store and i fell in love! I love Christmas ornaments and wanted to buy everything i saw, but Kenny was there to help me exercise discipline! (I'll have to go without him next time!)
All the fun we had, we will definitely have to visit again (and maybe take Ray....)
NOT! We love when it's just us two!!
