Milestone

Ray turns 18 months today. For some reason 18 months is a milestone in a child's life. It's almost as important at turning 1. It just has importance. For me it's a time to reflect. It's a sign that his baby years are coming to an end and he'll be a man before i know it.
It seems like yesterday he was born. Little, pink and yelling!

Ray was a good baby (once we got him to sleep through the night!) He was quiet, didn't move nearly as much as he does now, and was fun to have and hold. Boy, are those days missed...

Now he's 18 months and does soo much more. He has so much personality and attitude. He loves to play, talk and eat! He's a lady's man and soo adorable.
I enjoy listening to him talk. Boy does he go! And although his English is pretty good, he likes to revert to his own tongue. (With his high pitches, soft voice self!)

Rayon is a joy to have. Despite the sleepless nights, visits to the ER, and countless nights changing bedsheets due to his "overflow accidents", i wouldn't trade him for the world. Ray has taught me to love as Christ loves - UNCONDITIONAL! What a great lesson.

So Ray, heres' to your 18 months of living. We hope we have nurtured and loved you as you needed, if not more. We hope we have set examples for you on how to love yourself and God and care and love others. We're glad we have been allowed to care for you and teach you (English, Spanish and American Sign Language). You are a joy! You are hilarious! But most of all you are special! You are God's own. And He takes pride in you just like we do. Someday you'll be old enough to comprehend our expressions of love and we hope they will bring a smile to your face and tears to your eyes. We're excited about what is to come for you and no matter what you always take precedence in our hearts!

Here's to our 18 month old lil man!
(I tried to make the day special by giving him a treat- some graham crackers- only to realize he's had them before!) OH WELL!

Ray we love you more than you'll ever know!

i'm almost drown to tears....
