Sometimes, I don't care for all the ruckus of traditional "gospel" music. It's the contemporary Christian music that really speaks to the soul. Don't need all the drums and every instrument imaginable, sometimes just the delicacy of the guitar allows the words to be at the for front.
I'm thinking of this song tonight because of what has happened, what is happening and what's going to happen:

You ran away from home the other night. Wondering in the street. The cold, cruel streets of Philadelphia. The place with the highest crime rates and lets not forget rapist, kidnappers and the like. What were you thinking???? You don't have it that bad at home. Did you know there are children without parents, or parents that don't make an effort to take care of their children? You have teenagers who live in abandoned, abused or neglected homes, often times having to fend for themselves just to get a meal. Some people aren't fortunate enough to attend school, let alone for free -yet you cut school, and do whatever it is in your power to get kicked out. All because you want to be seen as "hard core".

Sweetie get a grip! There is more to life than boys, cutting school and going to the gallery! There is a life to be lived and if you aren't careful you will force yourself into a cold, cruel world too early that won't hesitate to chew you up and spit you out, leaving you to fend for yourself with little or no support. You do have people that love and care for you and want the best for you. So I hope as your cruising various social networking sites, you stumble across this blog, read it and take it to heart.

In the end, your rebellious acts will only cause you to go in a circle and come back years later to the point where God wants you today. So, am I worried? Not really! I believe in a Great God and know even though we can't see the end, He sees you complete. He is so crazy about you that He will jump through fiery hoops to save your life. (More than any "boyfriend" would ever do)
