Pregnancy Symptoms

As I write, I am 38 weeks and 1 day pregnant. I have a hard time finding appropriate words to express my gratitude but I know the Lord is pleased with a simple “Thank You Jesus.”

These past 9 months have been interesting and the symptoms I have experienced are amazing. I am forever amazed at the changes my body has gone through.  I have been careful not to complain (as Philippians 2:14 reminds me to “Do all things without complaining and disputing”) but I have been rather observant and amazed and the miracle of pregnancy.

In the first trimester I suffered with:

Nausea
Vomiting
Headaches
Extreme Fatigue
Food Aversions: I couldn’t take the smell or taste of some of my favorite foods; as onions!
Dehydration
Extreme colds

During the second trimester, I experienced:

A lil nausea
A lil vomiting
Spurts of energy
Continued food aversions
Headaches
Extreme Hunger

And during this final trimester, I have seen:

A small amount of vomiting
Diarrhea
Constipation
EXTREME Fatigue
Constant Hunger
Shortness of breath
Excessive Urinating
Mild Dehydration
Pelvic Pressure & Pain
Difficulty sleeping comfortable
And the most interesting symptom has been:

SWELLING OF MY FEET!

They get soo tight and FAT that all I can do is take pictures! I had to buy bigger sneakers to accommodate my Flintstone feet! I’m told to keep my feet raised and drink plenty of water to help alleviate this symptom but that doesn’t work. Plus, I’ve been told to elevate my feet above my head and that requires me to lay on the floor on my back… NOT HAPPENING! Super uncomfortable!

So these any many more are the symptoms of pregnancy! I count it all joy and look forward to meeting the little one causing all of these changes.
