After much speculation and anticipation, I finally got to enjoy a baby shower for our baby AND birthday extravaganza all in one! It was such an exciting time to celebrate all the Lord is doing in our life and I couldn’t help but be grateful for all of those that helped with planning, attending and giving. We received countless gifts and I really can’t think of anything else we may need.
This pregnancy has shown the best of people as they have given to us so freely. I can’t help but sit in our nursery (which is just about complete) and recount the many blessings. What is even more of a blessing is that we have barely paid for anything in that room. I just couldn’t be more GRATEFUL!! I continue to thank the Lord for using people to be a blessing to our family and I look forward to watching him continue in His ways.
The shower was a blast! It was great to see old (and current) coworkers celebrate with us…
It was good to see folk I haven’t seen in a while…
We received just about everything our baby needs and could possibly want!
We even had a surprise visit from Kenny’s MD family. It’s always great to see them :)
And my brother (and his friends) made a guest appearance!
There are many pictures I can post but I will save them and create a photobook for that at a later date. Above all I remain grateful and thankful to everyone involved!!!
So that was Saturday.
SUNDAY, was my 29th Birthday and Kenny and I headed to Atlantic City, NJ after church. We enjoyed a luxurious time at Harrah’s and ate like crazy with the Buffet of Buffets deal! I even tried at wearing my swimsuit while taking a dip in the pool. Now it didn’t cover everything, but I enjoyed my dip in the pool!
