I am going to cut her throat!! She just makes me soo upset, and yes I'm working on handling things the Christian way, but she or should i say "the situation she created" just gets under my skin!
OK, so by now, everyone knows we care for our Godson because his mother just didn't want to. Ignorant but the truth. DHS, has guidelines and so does the agency, Jewish Family and Children Services. How it stands now, in order for her to get her son back she has to get and maintain a job and stable housing. She needs to actually show that she can care for a child. Well it's been over a year and she hasn't done either - But that's another IGNORANT story!
Anyway, she is ordered by the judge to have unsupervised visits with Ray every other Monday from 3-7pm. She picks him up from school and we meet her at Broad and Erie. She is also supposed to call the social worker from the agency and us the Friday before the visits by 12pm to confirm. If she doesn't call the visit is automatically canceled. By the way, we all have receive this in writing. (Plus it's what the judge said in July!)
After some frustrated thoughts a few months ago, Kenny and I summoned her over and let her know she needs to do a little more than a twice a month visit. Since she doesn't have a job, the least she could do is:
1 - Call every so often to check up on Ray. See if he's still alive - HELLO!!!
2- Be at our house every other Saturday and spend time with him all day. Kenny work overnight every other weekend and sleeps all Saturday to get back at work that night, and i tend to have things to do like study or wash clothes, or run errands and it's ratehr difficult with lil man. SO it makes since for her to come over sit with him and get to know him since she doesn't do anything.
3- Offer to get Ray on a more consistent basis, I mean, she doesn't do anything all day give us some relief at times...
Of course she agreed (or lied, how ever you want to word it), sooo, why does she keep texting me????
She did not call us nor the social worker to confirm for Monday's visit, so it's canceled. She did not call us to confirm her coming over this Saturday - TODAY!! RIGHT NOW!!!
But, she keeps texting me! The first one she sentwas on Friday afternoon. It said she wanted to know if we had any plans for Saturday because she wanted to take Ray to the movies. (My immediate response was how about you save your movie money and buy Ray some clothes! He needs navy blue shirts and tan pants for his new school to be exact! Old Navy was having a sale, 2 shirts for $10!!!, but I kept that to myself!) ( I also wonder where she gets money from...)
The second text which she sends today- Saturday afternoon- the day she is supposed to be here with him all day said- Since it's raining, she'll just see if she can get him later cuz she doesn't want him to get sick and she can still get him from school.
I"m burning with anger because the girl isn't smart enough to call and discuss these matters, so therefore she doesn't know Monday Ray is going to a new school (if he goes to school at all actually), and she never called to confirm anything! She doesn't even know I received the text messages because i have been ignoring them and not responding. She's just pain!
Why does our system that's supposed to protect children allow for sucn negligance? Why is this ok? Why do we have to be the ones to bend over backwards and she just does whatever she wants?
So it may be mean, it may be wrong, but i AM NOT calling her. Commen sense needs to tap in one of these days for her. She needs to want to take more responsibility in her child's life, but even if she's not interested, just be honest about it and let us go our way. Because this process sucks!!
So i'm hoping she doesn't text me again, maybe saying she's downstairs waiting for us to bring Ray to her. LOL!!!!!
Jesus help me!!!!!

My sistah, my sistah! I feel your pain. There's a blessing on the other side of through! Please know that you and Kenny will be blessed for your obedience - Heck! You are blessed right now, it may not always seem like it. BUT YOU ARE BLESSED. & Loved! So, give me her number and I'll make a couple crank calls - it's on the house!
