So how was Christmas???? Part 1

We had a GREAT time! We headed for Halifax, VA on Christmas Eve to meet Kenny's family at Aunt Lois's house. The MD folks came down as well. We were excited to be spending time with family we don't get to see that often.

The ride was ok, Ray mildly let us know when he needed to stretch!

From the time we arrived to the the time we left, there was food galore! There's nothing like a down south meal. We ate a huge breakfast and dinner each day (and gained 20 lbs during the stay.)

Christmas Day we were surrounded by family and gifts galore!

It truly is wonderful to give (and receive)!

- The day after Christmas I became very sick and ended up staying at the hotel the whole day right next to the trash can. I don't know what it was but I just couldn't get myself together. -

Saturday, was a better day, so we decided to visit the Danville Science Center.

It reminded me of the Please Touch Museum with a Franklin Institute twist. There weren't too many people there so we were able to take our time at each exhibit and of course Ray had a ball.

We left out early Sunday for home. It was bitter sweetness to leave. You have the feeling of just wanting to be home mixed with not wanting this vacation to end.

We certainly look forward to spending more time with the MD/VA family. We love you guys! We miss you guys! And you made Christmas 2008 the best!

Hi Davis Family!

This is Sis. Robin...I know I'm late but I just happened to check in on you guys (since I miss ya'll at church these days :-( ) I see you have family in Halifax, VA, my family lives in Scottsburg, VA which right next door! I get excited when I hear about people being from there because no one ever knows where it is. They may have heard of Danville but never hardly do they know about Scottsburg, South Boston or Halifax. My family's names are the Hicks & Buster families. What's your family's name?

WOW! I've never known anyone to know about Halifax VA, and didn't know anything about it myself until i met Kenny's family. They are the Petty family.
