I’m Back!!!!!

Mexico was GREAT! Hot weather, no crying baby, practically no worries (except focusing on not drinking the water and anything they would rinse with it!)

It was an educational tour through CCP and we visited:
Dzibilchaltun
The Governor's Palace
Art Museums
Uxmal
Villages/Churches and the Agricultural School
Merida's Cathedral
Chichen Itza and
A Mexican Cemetary!

Yes! We were busy but it was a great experience! I got to climb some pyramids, put my feet in the cenote (an underground river used as a water source but now people swim in it), take a carriage ride around town and just enjoy the scenery.

I definitely want to do it again! I'll probably enroll in a class at CCP every semester for the rest of my life just to take advantage of these benefits.
Enjoy a FEW pics below. I took over 600 and couldn't pose them all.....

This was soo good! It’s some kind of chicken.

I climbed the pyramid and I’m looking down.

The cenote I mentioned. There were actual fish swimming in it – Not my kind of party.

The top view of the hotel.

Soupa de Lima!

I did not climb this pyramid – Heights… NO!

That’s Jesus inside. They have a processional near Easter where He is escorted throughout the town. A very religious culture.

Imagine driving down Spring Garden Street towards the Art Museum and BAM – a pyramid! They were all over the place in the oddest locations.

Mayan Coconut – Soo colorful!

Mayan cemeteries are very colorful. They truly have a celebration for the dead.

My next job is to convince Kenny to take classes at CCP so we both can attend the trip in 2010.
