It's my last day of being 25. Tomorrow, April 1st, I'll be 26. Everyone has prepared for for feeling old, getting closer to turning 30, blah, blah, blah...
The truth is, I don't feel old. I feel young and full of life. I feel like there is so much more to do and I have a lot of time to do it. I don't feel like I have to rush to get anything done at a certain time. I'm just living and doing my best to enjoy the moment.
I am excited to enter into another year of life. I expect more from God during this time in my life and to draw even closer to Him. I admit from the moment I turned 25, it seemed like EVERYTHING went down hill. It started off with a miscarriage - which is constantly devastating, then the constant roller coaster ride of Ray's situation, OMG! Then disturbing issues with our families, then the most recent news of my grandmother being diagnosed with lung cancer. I told Kenny today, it feels like every week we receive more bad news and frankly I would like that cycle to end! It's draining!
So, I enter into my 26th year of life, in my right mind, and daily dying to self. I'm still in search of discovering what God wants me to do "NOW" and struggle with being patient for the answer.
I wonder what will happen this next year. What educational goals I'll accomplish, what career goals I'll work towards, if the end of Ray's situation is near, will we have any additions to our family, or will we move; into another apartment building or a house????? Who knows! You'll have to stay tuned for those answers. Until then, Happy 26th to me!!!!!!!
