It's just before midnight and I'm about to go to bed. This time tomorrow I'll be in Merida, Mexico. I can't wait! Sad to say I'm leaving the guys alone, but they will survive!
As I prepared to leave work today to start my vacation, someone else was preparing to leave work today to have an operation. I couldn't help but to contain my excitement for my trip, and focus on the needs of someone else. I had to stop and pray not for my safe trip but someone's else's safety during an operation. You see the Deputy Director at my job was diagnosed with breast cancer last year and this Monday at 8:45am she goes to the hospital to have a mastectomy - the surgical removal of the breast.
I know there are a lot of politics involved with involving God in the work place, but I couldn't help but to ask if I could pray for her. It's just seemed like the right thing to do and she received it very well.
So I ask that you pray for her as well, Monday at 8:45. Pray that her procedure goes well, for her recovery and her family as they stand around and support her at this time. Her name is LTM. God knows who you'll be talking about!
And, even after I return from my vacation, she'll be in recovery. So, my heart and prayers are with her.
