A Lovers Retreat

This past weekend Kenny and I got to spend some grown-up time together in Wildwood, NJ. (One of my coworkers attends Bethany Baptist Church. They have their annual church picnic at Wildwood and for only $32 per person you get a wristband to be used on all 3 piers, 2 waterparks and a BBQ buffet meal! Thanks so much Bethany!!)

The ride down there seemed never ending as the traffic was ridiculous but once we arrived that fresh air over took us. The water park was great because it was about 90 degrees that day, the rides seemed endless and the food (especially the hamburgers and the ribs) were delicious! We stayed the night at a very low budget hotel which we'll never do again. Saturday night we ended up going to a comedy show at Club Casba. The comedians were great and the drinks were refreshing. Admission to the show itself wasn't expensive but once inside we find out there was a 2 drink minimum. Talk about trying to make money!

Anyway, the next day we headed back to the boardwalk. I put my feet in the ocean and didn't want to get out. The water was actually a little warm because it was so hot outside. What a great feeling! We played some games, won nothing, and then headed home.

I am so grateful for the time to reconnect with my husband at such a great price! We really needed it and look forward to many more times like it.

By the way, I did not take my camera on this trip so I do not have any pictures. I didn’t want my camera to get water damaged or sand damaged!
