About a week or two ago, our DHS worker came over for her monthly visit. She started off by asking how we felt about the "verdict" from our last court hearing. We both shared our feelings and concerns and then there was the curve ball...
Apparently, dads' move may not be as soon as we thought. After doing a clearance and walk through of his "fiances" house it was discovered that she did not fully agree to him moving back in AND they aren't back in a relationship as dad reported. This causes dad to not have suitable living arrangements for Ray to move to.
Secondly, mom is now living with another person. Apparently, it's an older woman who is also a foster parent. We believe she is the one coaching mom to do right. Technically, mom still needs housing in order for Ray to be able to live with her. It's not 100% sure if her current living situation can accommodate Ray.
And lastly, with all that stated, DHS has decided to change the goal from reunification to Parental Legal Custody (PLC). What does that mean? Ray would stay with us (YAY!) but if mom or dad wanted to get their son back, they simply just take us to court.
That's God throwing a curve ball for ya!

Amen Ty!!! God is so amazing. Just when we think the worst is going to happen he surprise us at that very last minute. Praise God! I am so happy for you and your family and especially Ray.. He needs to be under a good foundation.
