Saturday I went to the "How Sweet The Sound" concert. It's a choir competition of area choirs competing to win to be the best choir in the country. Donald Lawrence and Lisa Kimmey-Winans (whoever she is) hosted the event and Marvin Winans, Lonnie Hunter and Hezekiah Walker served as judges. Some of them also performed.
The choirs were pretty good. Some chose great songs, others chose okay songs. There were winners for People's Choice, Biggest Choir and smallest choir but the ultimate winners will continue on to compete in the National competition. I wasn't too excited about the regional winners but whatever, it was $5.
I'm so glad I went. That was the best concert/competition I'll ever spend money on and it was such a GREAT deal.
And since I know you read this often, THANKS A BUNCH Toya for inviting me out. I certainly needed it and had a great time with you and your friend (I forgot her name LOL!!) We definitely have to get together again!

We had a ball too! :) $5 was so worth it. I was surprised that Ford Memorial won. I thought for sure Calvary was gonna win!
You are soo silly...and I had a great time also. I meant to give you back your $5 for driving us down there so...next time when we get together remind me. Also, let me know when you feel like getting out of the house. Im always up for things. I was thinking of planning a trip to the Renassiance Faire (probebly spelled that wrong). It would progbably be the 3rd Sat of Oct. Let me know if you are interested. -Latoya
