We've been searching for a home for a few months and the home we put an offer on- let's just say, they're acting like they really don't want to sell the house. Just too much going on, so we decided to keep looking and boy have we found a gem!
I'll start off by saying this new house is directly across the street from the one we put an offer on. But it's WAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY better!
It has 4 bedrooms and 2.5 baths!
Carpeted throughtout!
Stainless steel appliances in the kitchen - minus a fridge!
Large fenced in backyard!
Gas fireplace! (We discovered real ones have lots of maintenance, and just aren't that interested in them anymore)
Lots of large closets!
A NEWER heater (one that isn't leaking!)
UNOCCUPIED!!! (meaning, we can close ASAP - don't have to wait for sellers to move out!)
Master bedroom suite - 3rd floor, SPACIOUS, BEAUTIFUL, FULL BATH!
Walking through this house we were soo amazed! So we decided to put in an offer that night (last night).
And of course, there is a bit of a downside... FHA loan users are only allowed to buy homes that have been owned for at least 90 days. Those 90 days will be over for this property on October 14th. Yes, it's only 2 weeks away, but in the real estate business that's a long time. Someone else could come along and sweep up our dream home. But the sellers have (kindda) decided to honor our offer since it's the first one they've received. They can't take the house off the market so other buyers will see it, so here's what we are going to do:
We are going to continue to PRAY over the situation. This is the house we want and desperatly want God to give it to us. October 14th we want the sellers to accept our offer. We want the inspection to reveal NOTHING major and we want to be able to close by November 20th.
We know God is able and are soo excited He has allowed us to view this home in the midst of all th drama involved with the other one.
So, YAY!!!
I will possible post pics later, but I was so excited walking through the house that I didn't capture much. It's all just embedded in my brain.

Ty, that is hot! A master bedroom with a bathroom--JOY JOY JOY!!!!
There's something I dont understand though--the 90 day thing?
Do you mean owned by the people who are selling the house or owned by these FHA people?
Zakiya
The house has to be owned at least 90 days by the seller for FHA loan users to buy it. Don't know why it's like that, but we are hoping everything works out in our favor!
